Yohoho! Pirate Puzzles is a rich and diverse gaming experience that adds liberal doses of puzzling action and interactivity to online multiplayer gaming. In this game, you brave the perils of the sea, engage in fierce combat with other pirate flags, plunder and loot your way to the top of the pirate heap. Trade and generally lounging around, chugging pints of grog at the local tavern and exchanging tales of the sea, are a part of the package.

The puzzles are adaptations of many popular puzzle games and a player's skill and progress is gauged by their puzzle solving abilities. Puzzles are the core element of gameplay but there are many more aspects of the game that players can unveil as they progress. As you explore the world and interact with your character, you'll find yourself at the receiving end of many a challenge. Once a challenge is accepted, the respective puzzle is launched. Develop your skills at these and you will enjoy more than a fair share of success.

The initial offering is a dozen well thought out puzzle games that include 'Alchemistry', a game where you mix your own potions and 'Swordfighting', the game that helps you tackle challenges thrown at you by your enemies. 'Distillery' is a game where you can brew your own rum while 'Drinking' is where a bunch of pirates hit the local tavern and imbibe until only one is left standing.

'Sailing', 'Navigation' and 'Bilge Pumping' and 'Gunnery' are all games that take place during a voyage and they help you perform tasks pertaining to your ship. Repairs to your ship, and ship construction, are the essence of 'Carpentry'. Play a game of 'Sea Battle' to simulate an exchange between your ship and an enemy one. Finally, you have the popular card game of 'Spades' that can be played at the local tavern.

Pirates can be male or female and there are plenty of options to customize their looks. They can also take on a vast array of roles that include working as crew, donning the role of a trader, lounging around or simply being a true pirate and sticking to the cut-throat way of life, looting lands and other pirates. There are also ways of earning an honest living but that takes away the fun of being a pirate.

There is also plenty of sailing to do and the waters of Yohoho! can be pretty treacherous. In spite of all the dangers that the seas hold, pirates don’t die. They do however lose a limb or an eye in battle. Pirates also move around as a crew, a gang that sticks together. Each crew has it's own flag that acts as it's political representation and is headed by a King or a Queen that the pirates have allegiance with. When a pirate crew gains a settlement, it's flag flies over it.

Pirates can also gain Standing and Experience. These indicate a rise or fall in rank and general puzzle solving abilities.

The developers promise to add more features as the game progresses and soon there will be monsters and treasure islands popping up on the Yohoho! map to add new dimensions of fun to the game.

This game isn't designed to sport cutting edge technology as far as graphics are concerned. Instead, the developers use iconic representations that are interactive and serve their purpose. The game is set on the isometric plane and sports rich and colorful artwork.
