Game Description

Providing low-blow laughs and some 18 wheeler missions, Big Mutha Truckers 2: Truck Me Harder is just an expansion from the previous in the garb of a full scale sequel. The developers of this game have definitely pushed the limit of censorship as the game’s sub-title; “Truck Me Harder” isn’t located on the box of the game. Is this game any fun, or just a bunch of low-level humor? Read on.

Big Mutha Truckers 2: Truck Me Harder GamePlay

In Big Mutha Truckers 2: Truck Me Harder you have to bust the leader of the 18 wheeler hick pack out of jail during gameplay. Who exactly is this person and what did she does? The culprit is Ma Jackson, and she’s thrown in jail for tax evasion. However, big momma has a cell phone, and can direct her fleet of 18 wheelers from her jail cell. Gamer’s mission is to raise enough cash to buy out the jury, so she can walk free again. Not much of a story line is laid out here, and gameplay gets boring pretty quickly after the first hour.

You will raise money to free Ma Jackson by delivering cargo to selected areas. Sometimes, and by sometimes we mean very infrequently, you will get to play some side missions. However, these side missions are lame, and don’t really hold much value. Other then the side missions, gamers will engage in conversations with some of the lowest life-forms on the planet. Gamers beware, some of the language used in the game is very offensive, and often uses racial and sexual slurs. So, either play this game with an open mind or don’t play at all.

During gameplay, you won’t get to explore the environments much, as you are always hauling cargo from one city to another, or are engaged in another side mission. However, gamers can crash into other cars en route to their destination, and can take alternate routes. But the lack of exploration in gameplay leaves much to be desired. It would have been nice to actually roam freely throughout the environments Grand Theft Auto style.

When delivering cargo, gamers must choose which cargo will make them the most profit in different cities. However, the differences in profit margins are slim, and gamers are almost guaranteed to make money with whichever cargo they choose in whatever city. Note, there are some exceptions, but most of the time this works.

Big Mutha Truckers 2: Truck Me Harder Graphics

There isn’t much to say about the graphics in Big Mutha Truckers besides the fact they could have been presented in a better manner. The character graphics, in some instances look blocky, and most of the characters in the game are grimy looking (which is to be expected, as the game is centered around hicks and lowlifes). Environments in the game lack detail, as well as some of the trucks that are used. The frame rate in the game is low, and the game sometimes crashes altogether.

Big Mutha Truckers 2: Truck Me Harder Audio

Audio in the game is that which is to be expected in a game like this. The game is filled with low level music, which will make gamers want to turn this one down and blare their own tunes. Sound effects in the game are presented nicely, as metal smashing together sounds realistic and tire squealing sounds like the actual thing. This game doesn’t rank high in the audio department.

Final Verdict & Cost

Big Mutha Truckers 2: Truck Me Harder is cheaply made, and cheaply sold at $20.00. If it cost any more than that no gamer would pick it up, as it is just a horrible game. There is no in-depth story line and missions leave much to be desired. Gamers who are looking for cheap thrills and can handle the low-life humor may be able to play this one all the way through. For the rest of us, that $20.00 should be spent elsewhere.
